What nullbeat collects, why, and how long it is kept. We collect the minimum needed to sign you in, take payment, and generate your maps.
What we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Google we store your Google account id, email address, display name, and avatar URL. We use these to identify your account and show you your maps. We never see your Google password.
- Audio. Files you upload, and audio ripped from YouTube links you paste, are stored so the model can read them. Song titles and artist names you enter are stored with the map.
- Maps. The generated map archives, the time they were made, and whether generation succeeded.
- Payments. Stripe handles checkout. We receive a record that a payment happened and how many credits it bought. We never receive or store your card details.
- Session. One encrypted cookie keeps you signed in. There is no advertising, tracking, or analytics cookie.
How it is used
To run the service: sign you in, charge credits, generate maps, and show you your library. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your uploaded songs or your maps to train the model.
Who processes it
The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database, and file storage). Map generation runs on GPU servers rented from RunPod, which receive your audio over a short-lived link, generate the map, and hand it back; nothing stays on the GPU server once the job finishes. Google handles sign-in, Stripe handles payment, and YouTube is contacted when you paste a link, to read the video title and download its audio.
How long it is kept
- Uploaded audio: deleted 7 days after the map is generated.
- Generated maps: deleted 90 days after they are made, or sooner if you delete them from your library. Download what you want to keep.
- Account and credit history: kept while your account exists. Ask us to close the account and it is removed, other than payment records we are required to keep.
Your choices
You can delete any map from your library at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, contact us and we will do it. You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you the same way.
Beta
The service is in beta. We may look at failed jobs, including the audio and the map, to find out what went wrong. That is the only time a person looks at your uploads.
